Build a Better Tie-Rod
I wanted to move the tie-rod to the front side of my Salsbury axle.
I figured that along with the move I should come up with a way to make it stronger. The stock tube measured 7/8" in diameter. I was able to find some 1.5" OD, 15/16" ID DOM tube at my local supplier.

The tie-rod slides inside the DOM for a perfect fit.

I drilled a series of holes down the length of the DOM and tie-rod.
I then welded the the holes closed.
And welded up the end seem around the tie-rod.
I also attached a length from another steering arm to use for the track rod.
The idea is to set up a Y geometery for the steering.
