The bumper was removed from the frame, and the 2.5's were finish welded.  After this two 2.5x.2.5x17 were cut and attached, one on each side.  After these were welded in place, 2" and 3" wide pieces of 3/16" were cut to fit and welded in place to finish all of the slopes and angles.  I then tacked the winch mount in place.

 
Double checking to ensure that the winch mount and winch mounted up correctly.  Then it was mounted on the vehicle.   After I was sure that everything lined up properly I removed the winch from the bumper and completed the mount welds. bumper05.jpg (49841 bytes)

Here are some shots of the painted bumper and the winch installed on the vehicle.  I still want to wrap the receiver points with 2x.25 steel strapping to strengthen the holes.
