They put us up in a VIP quarters.  Its a trailer, but it has mattresses and carpeting on the floor.  The latrine trailer is only 10 steps away and it has shitter/shower/sink all in one location.
I Corps is operating out of the largest Palace on the compound.  Inside is pretty amazing, all marble and brass.  Mosul is a pretty strange place, its very similar to the eastern Cascades in Washington.  Its dry out, but there is grass and trees.  The grounds of the palace have flowerbeds.  The VIP trailer is sitting in a park.  There is an apple orchard, a good sized pond.  Just amazing.  The Stryker Brigade HQ is here also, I see COL Rounds in the messhall and at the BUBs.  Its eye opening to sit in on a BUB....this is real world, no more warfighter.
It looks like the TF Commander will be breaking up the unit.  The Corp sent way to few people here to run the TOC.  Some cells only have one person covering down.  Most of the folks are working 14-16 hour shifts.  You can see the stress in some of the people and its only been a month.  So they want most of us to stay here and augment the TOC.  Then 4-5 will go up to the border to run the customs compound.  Its really going to suck to split up.  See some definite morale issues.
