We flew into Mosul on the night of Weds Feb 25.  We were able to catch a C-130 from BIAP to Mosul Airfield (MAF). The FBI ordered two heavily armoured, turbo diesel, nissan pickups and we were able to talk ourselves onto the same plane.   It was the four of us and the two trucks aboard the c130. A convoy of uparmored MP hummers arrived at the Mosul Air FIeld to escort us to the palace at Camp Freedom.  Got to say that convoys are the hairiest thing I have ever experienced.  The second we passed the airfield gate everyone locked and loaded.  It was then about 50mph through the city streets of Mosul.  At one point we hit a road block.  Bunch of civilians with head wraps and AKs stopping all the cars.  MPs drove up on the sidewalk and kept on going.
