| Four of us are going on a leaders recon to link up with the unit we are replacing.
We left Virginia on Monday the 23rd and bummed a ride from some guys in an SUV back to the APOD south of K City.
We hopped up here on a C-130.
Landing was awsome.
They treat every landing likes its combat, lots of twists and turns.
A buddy of MAJ Jansens is running the MTC here so he hooked us up with a tent and has been showing us around.
First night here we could here the mortars landing in the distance.

The tents at BIAP have real walls and carpets in them. |
There are even mattresses on the cots. Have to be carefull though, they are about a foot wider then the cot and will flip over if you are not careful. |

This is an Army camp a couple miles down the road from Sather. Conditions are not up to the same standards as on the Air Force compound. |
